Inlays and Onlays
In cases where the filling is not suitable, inlays and onlays developed as a solution method between coating and filling are applied for aesthetic treatment purposes. These structures, in which fiber-reinforced composite or porcelain are used, are highly resistant to chewing. As a result of the inlay and onlay method, which is preferred for broken posterior tooth restorations, cavities, and teeth that cannot be filled, patients are given an appearance that is compatible with their tooth color.
Inlay and Onlay application is completed by sticking the relevant filling in the spaces after the measurement taken from the patient. The reason why it is preferred instead of crown veneer is to prevent excessive material loss in the teeth. It is recommended for patients both in terms of aesthetics and in terms of being a comfortable procedure.
After the procedure, patients become sensitive to food debris without the need for dental floss. Compatibility with lateral teeth, minimal problems such as breakage and falling out, aesthetic appearance are the advantageous features of inlays and onlays.
